Tired of being the nagging Mom or Dad with the endless "STOP THATs", the idle threats that carry no punch, and 2- to 5-year-olds that just wont behave?

Stars and Strikes to the Rescue!

This app puts the kid in charge of his or her actions - and the resulting consequences. When they do something good, they earn a star; something bad and they get a strike. After three stars its reward time (in our house thats usually candy but you can go healthy); and three strikes earns a punishment (time out, toy takeaway, etc.).

This works for us because Murphy (our 4-year-old) likes to call the shots, and he knows his actions determine what shows on the stars and strikes board. This approach has drastically reduced our fights, whining, and drama. And we, Mom and Dad, are no longer the bad guys - just the recorders!
